How to rotate ads on a website

Reggie and the boys put together the bikes that they bought on Saturday. While they were doing that, I was putting something together too. After, my first “business consulting” meeting with Reggie on Friday, I was at work tinkering with my Mom in the City website and newsletter. The thing that took the longest was trying to figure out how to rotate ads in my sidebar. There are several ways to do this, but I was looking for simple html to put into a sidebar widget so that the ads would automatically rotate. (I’m a “keep it simple” type of person!) When I was just about to call it quits and place it in the hand of my trusted web designer Kristina, I finally figured it out.

You can find the code on the how to | rotate sidebar images randomly with each pageload post at Daisy Janie. The key is that you have to cut and paste the code into your sidebar widget exactly the way that the code is shared on the blog post. The author uses TypePad, but the code also works perfectly on WordPress (which I use). Someone asked me how to do it, so there you go. Thanks Daisy Janie!
